i have experienced the same problem twice
the only answer i got fro technical support and from the forum was - update your drivers and update youg graphic card from 1 gb hd to at least 2 gb hd - but that was not good enough, i decided to save my projects somewhere like for instance - desktop and reinstall the software but with no patches and updated and since then it works perfectly, and i do not bother with any updates, patches and all this bull...t.
sorry for the reply but just being honest with you
i just gave up and trying to use the software without all this patches, updated and it does the job for me

Yep, Updating from 2930 -> 3305 PD 9 using Windows 7 (Professional), has left the package unfit for purpose, crashing more often than the stock market.

I am very disappointed, not a good advert, con't recommend.

Am trying to crawl back to version 2930, waiting for a reply to my cyberlink query : "How do I get back to previous version"

By removing your current Powerdirector, then installing original version that you either bought as boxed version or the original download.

Then if that is not version 2930, you update to 2930.

Hi Carl312,
Yours is probably the way forward. I have had no joy with a Cybelink ticket, albeit they did reply but with advice which made no difference.
To quote them:-
They said there is no migration back to 2930, but if you adjust virtual memory settings (1.5 x 6.00GB initial and 3 x 6.00GB for max) this will help.

Which it did not. Sadly.

Losing faith in the ticket system now, so thanks to Forum members ideas.

A mentally peed off Jonny

If Cyberlink Powerdirector gives you trouble to install the older version use the Clcleaner at this page.

http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/15688.page

Clcleaner does not remove anything, when you run it, looks like nothing happened, but it did, the registry entries were removed. allowing you to install Powerdirector.
