Anyone editing AVCHD files with the 2600 series Intel Chip Sandybridge? The question is did you need to buy a separate video card or is the intergrated graphics powerful enough?

thanks,

Hi,
I am using sandy bridge i7 2600 3.4Gh processor, with 12GB Ram, and a Geforce 560T Graphics acelerator, and pD10 works great.

Hi

I suppose I should get a dedicated graphics card. I was considering Nvidia GeForce GT 545. There are so many cards with different numbers and names. I know that the one I am considering is relatively new. There is the GeForce GT 530, GT545, and GT560. They have only been out for about 6 months or so. The one I am considering has 3gig of memory and 144 cuda cores.
Any other comments?

thanks,

I have been looking at replacing my graphics card to Nvidia for a while now, but the one I want requires 750w of power and my system has only 460w, so make sure you have sufficient power for your card, or be prepared to replace the power unit. I will eventually get around replacing my power supply, can't do it yet, the system is still under warranty.

Changing power supplies is easy. I went from 350 to 850 watt when I got my ATI card..... The power supply was only around 40 bucks... and my internal case temps are lower since then..... __________________________________________
