I'm using PD10 Ultra and have edited 16GB of AVCHD wedding footage into a 40 min movie comprising some 240 clips with titles and effect. Phew. Now for the production. Blu-ray tests look sweet but DVD tests are underwhelming with artifacting and jaggedness.
The JVC source .mts files are interlaced 1920x1080. However when producing for DVD (for those guests without Blu-ray) using MPEG-2 I'm only offered (HDV) MPEG-2, 720p.
Question: must I create a custom profile in order to retain interlacing or can I produce in 1080i via some other method?
I entered the Qualtiy Profile Setup panel and created a 1920x1080 setting with 'top line first' checked, but was rejected with: There are no customized profiles available. Select one from another profile group.
What am I missing, or is there an easier way to improve output quality?
Thanks in advance,
Ade
