Is there a way in PD10 to "fog out" private areas on baby bathing film. I have a client that has lots of footage of his babies being bathed the first time, etc, but of course would like to cover private areas to avoid embarrassment to viewers.
Thanks,

This tutorial will get you started in the right direction.
The tutorial was made in/for PD8, but the principle applies in PD10.

I don't have the answer, but would like to chime in as to asking the same question Scott has. I hope that there is a way to achieve his specific goal as to the baby-video, but also in general the 'moving object' options. Such as, fuzzing out a license plate, like they do in certain cop-documentaries; or placing an object, such as a hat or glass or anything else on top of a person in a video and make it 'automatically' move along with the person in the video. I forgot the official name for such an effect and am hoping that the explanation as to what I would like to achieve is clear enough?

Looking forward to some work-able suggestions. Thank you.

PS. As I posted 'this' I saw Carl's link, followed it and watched the video that seems to answer the blurring options. Great instructions...could be time-consuming, depending on the length of the video, right? There is no 'automatic' following of the object to be blurred, right? And, would the same instructions be similar to adding an object to one place in the original movie, as I have referred to, or would that be a different execution?

The license plate issue and anything related to personal security is understandable. I have never run into parents who had such concerns. The technical problem however is not simple in PD when it comes to moving images.

The training video really helped me to accomplish my goal. Although a little time consuming, it does do what I need it to do.
FYI for anyone following this, you can select either a square or a circle for a blur shape, then it becomes a matter of sizing and then dragging and dropping the "blur" where you want it. You then just go to the next keyframe if the target has moved and start over, (just follow the tutorial.)
Thanks again Carl312

PS; I transfer old 8mm & 16mm film to dvd. I have had a few customers requesting this ability when I was using Studio, and a few since switching to PD. Scott Wright
