Snapshots....not
[Post New]
build 3305
I decided to try taking a snapshot of a frame and failed. The saved snapshot is from a whole different frame. I haven't counted yet how many frames away from the desired shot it is yet.

Is there a unseen trick to this or is this a known weakness in the program?

Hi,

forgive me if I am asking a question you think is "beyond all...."

Did you take the snapshot while the clip was bought to "stop" ?

Just something.

Probably not so silly. I was stopped and going frame by frame to arrive at the one I wanted.

Hi again, Fueler

there is not an unseen trick to this.
Clip is inserted to timeline, clip is stopped where you
want the snapshot taken. Period.
Snapshot is saved where you asked for it to be saved
in preferences + automatically placed in medialibrary.

That's the way I saw it to work but it is not for some reason. Very weird.

Figured it out.
Tried a different video and it worked fine.....so time to experiment.
My original problem child was a .Flv file. PD must not like those.
Converted it to mp4 and the snapshot worked fine.
