Hi,
For all who have downloaded the new PD 10 Ultra, I advise you to as soon as possible to burn BD disks in the create disk module. The reason is there are modules "plugins' that require activation within 30 days!!

Within 30 days of the first time you use that feature.

Hi Bastion,
Not sure if it is 30 days from first use but I was experimenting with burn Blu ray DVD's for
3D experiment and normal 3D (standard) and got an activation request saying I have 30Days.

I also think that it means it will work without activation for 30 days, and then after that you must activate it to use it.

Hi,
I am not sure, I activated just to be sure...Cyberlink should clarify that maybe...just in case..

Great catch..
I am not a fan of 'component activation' at all.

But I'll be keeping a list of the activations required so I am not shut out after 30 days if I happen to forget one.

And if I don't have a BD burner yet? Jerry Schwartz

just start the burn selection and you should get the activation message BEFORE it detects the drive, even without a BD.

I have activated as FredB mentions. I also do not have a blu-ray writer but it asks for activation before it actually tries to write anything.

I will say again to Cyberlink though if you have set it up that just because a person fails to try blu-ray burning within the 30 days of installing PD10 they loose blu-ray burning forever.....Your crazy

Robert2 S;
I think we all concur!! This is a ridiculous process that appears to be related to preventing full use of the product if installed on multiple machines (I base this opinion on people who have reported issues in the past), but it is REALLY the wrong way to go about it!!

Hopefully, the user "Cyberlink-ProductManager " will see this and ponder a solution!!

MAN,I am NEVER going to get my 5th star back, at this rate...

Thanks, guys. That did, in fact, work.

Another little tidbit: I've been uninstalling and re-installing PD10 like crazy, and the component registrations seem to be persistent. I'd bet that if you muck around with the registry, though, you'd lose them. Jerry Schwartz
