PowerDVD Ultra 11 will not install - why the constant upgrade versions instead of full versions?

I purchased my upgrade to Power DVD 11 Ultra and attempted to install it, but all it did was remove my prior version. I did not receive any warning/failure messages. Just nothing. I had to restore my computer twice in order to Power DVD back as there were issues attempting to work my way through all of the prior upgrade installs that I have done. Why don't you guys just allow people to download a FULL version of the software? I upgraded through my registered version of Power DVD 10 Ultra Mark II. Why do I have to jump through hoops to upgrade this? If you had just allowed me the FULL version download, I would be up and running and not opening a trouble ticket. Not to mention the fact that I would not have to store old versions of software that qualify me for the various upgrades. This is very frustrating and I would appreciate any help with this...

I absolutely agree. This has been going on for years, and it's both ridiculous and extremely frustrating. Please do something about already!

I've already opened a support ticket under my account, but opened here as well because I have yet to receive a response. I do not know why I keep upgrading your products when I continue to have problems with them. And that licensing thing sounds like BS to me. What is the difference between qualifying for an upgrade and having to maneuver through several upgrades to re-install vs. qualifying for an upgrade and getting a full installer? I'm all ears...

How long can I expect to wait to get help with my support ticket on this? My support ticket was opened the same day that I started this forum post. I see the charge went through just fine...

Somebody responded to my trouble ticket (this morning) and my problem is now resolved. I was provided with installers for PowerDVD 9 Ultra and then the upgrade installer that allowed me to go from PowerDVD 9 to 11 Ultra. I do not know what the issue was, before, but when I tried to run the PowerDVD Ultra 10 Mark II to PowerDVD 11 Ultra, the installer deleted the old install and then just hung.

Thank you - Mike
