Hi,

I have tried to reproduce your issue - it works here.

Can you please let me know which Version of PowerDVD 11 you had installed before you applied the patch to v1719.51?

It would be enough info if you can provide the full filename of the installer (as it contains the important SR number).
Please also add if you have upgraded from PowerDVD 9 or 10 to PowerDVD 11.

thanks

I am having the same problem.

I bought the Upgrade to PowerDVD 11 Ultra from 10 Ultra a while ago, file name CyberLink_PowerDVD11_UpgradeUltra_v1620_r66404_DVD110218-06.

I have it installed with update pach 11.0.1719.51 but this new patch 2024.53 won`t install and says the required version is not present.

This is one of the reasons why I made the thread I made below, because there is nothing but problems with the crappy Upgrade Version of PowerDVD.

I'm running a fully updated Windows 7 Ultimate x64 install and having this problem, as well. I upgraded from PowerDVD 10 Ultra to PowerDVD 11 build 1620.51_r66404_DVD110218-06 as an upgrade installer. I then updated to PowerDVD 11 build 1719.51_r67262_Ul_DVD110510-11. Now I'm trying to update to build 2024 (CyberLink_PowerDVD_11_Ultra_Patch_.v2024_DVD110811-05) and it's telling me that I don't have the necessary product installed to update.

Same issue here... Upgraded from Cyberlink PowerDVD 10 Ultra MK II to PowerDVD 11 Ultra Gold then to Version 1719.51 then tried to install the latest patch and got the same error message.

This is a PITA as I have to install, uninstall, upgrade, patch and activate every time I reinstall Windows (approx. 3x a year).

When they release version 12, am i going to have to install/uninstall 4 different versions ???

I've been a loyal Cyberlink customer for a long while now, is it too much to ask for a Full Installer File of the latest Version that will work with my legally purchased key ???

I understand wanting to protect this excellent product from Software Pirates (they seem to be doing just fine cracking it), but at the expense of paying customers ???

Could we not download this said version from within our members section ???

Just asking...

There so called protection of this product against software Pirates is not working.

If you search, you can already find the latest version 2024.53 full installer fully activated on the internet.

It would be great if they would agree to letting us that have bought the upgrade version, to
save all these problems, give us a Full Installer version considering we originally already
bought the upgrade version.

I also have the same problem with the latest update. I upgraded from powerdvd10 ultra to 11 ultra, version 1719.51. I have win7 32 bit. I have also ensured that PowerDVD can connect to the internet. The internal updater shows no new updates are available, even though I have version 1719 and the update shown at the website is to go to 2024

The Same Problem

Win 7 64
Ultra 9 to 10 / 10 to 11 / Patch 1719

I can't install the 2024 Patch / wrong version
[Post New]
Hi there

We've reproduced this issue and is urgently fixing now. Please keep using v1719 of PowerDVD 11. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
[Post New]
Same problem here Win7 64 and and upgraded version of PowerDVD 11 Ultra and cannot install the patch.

I would like to add to the calls for us people that have upgraded over the years to have access to a full installer.

At the moment when I change machines or do a OS reinstall I have to install PDVD v8 then 10 then 11 using 3 different serial keys. Also all these install files are just hogging space on my HDD.This is a ridiculous procedure and have not seen it ever from other companies.

Come on Cyberlink please let us poor souls who buy upgrades when new versions are released have access to a proper installer for the latest version purchased instead of forcing us to do multiple installs! Asus P8Z68 V-Pro Gen 3, Intel i5 2500K @4.5GHz, Thermalright Silver Arrow, 8GB Corsair Vengeance LP, EVGA GTX 670 FTW Signature 2, Corsair Force GT 120GB SSD, 4X Samsung F3 HDD, Samsung Blu ray, Antec DF-85

Same problem here.

Win7 64-bit. Original full-version purchase: PowerDVD 10 Ultra. Subsequent purchase: PowerDVD 11 Ultra. Previous patch applied: to build 1719 (early 6/2011).

I still can't use this program without it disabling Windows Aero, either. And I still have difficulty getting it to work with my sound card. I was hoping this patch might fix that.

I FULLY ENDORSE the comments from CRAIG R and STEPHEN J: the Cyberlink upgrade installer policy is a nightmare. We should not have to reinstall every previous version whenever we run into trouble, or buy a new computer. And PowerDVD 11 ultra upgrade leaves thousands of no-longer-used values in the Windows Registry when it 'uninstalls' version 10.

Even Adobe Creative Suite, a far more valuable and thief-tempting software, allows you to do a clean install simply by furnishing the previous version's serial number.

For the same price as PowerDVD, I can buy a blu-ray player and hook it to the unused HDMI port of my 2nd monitor. Can anybody at Cyberlink make the argument that this is NOT a better solution than a buggy, uninstallable, overpriced program?

That's the reason why I decided to buy the upgrade version this time because of PowerDVD 11 being a bit more expensive compared to full PowerDVD 10 Ultra price when it came out.

If I had known I was going to have nothing but problems with upgrade version, then I would have ether maybe purchased the full version even though a bit expensive or just not even bothered to upgrade to PowerDVD 11.

All you guys have it way better than me. They have me listed as a platinum member yet my powerdvd 11 never functioned on youtube, let me play my own videos, or even played any dvd! All it does is lists me as a paying customer. If I didn't have powerdvd 10 still installed, which powerdvd 11 requiers at all times, I couldn't even player a dvd, or even my winamp that is somehow has hyjacked! Happy Labor Day1
