I have five HD MP4 files that I want to combine into one long video. What format must I use for Produce in order to retain the HD quality?

My options are: .AVI | MPEG-1 | MPEG-2 | Portable MPEG-4 | H.264 AVC | .WMV | .RM | .MOV

How can I get the new file to be the same as the five old files. They look like this:
File type: MP4
Video type: H.264 AVC
Video bitrate: 3.72 Mbps
Video resolution: 1920x1080
Video frame rate: 30.30 fps
Video aspect ratio: 16:9

This is why I bought PD8 and turns out I can’t do what I need… Somebody please help.

The best choice in my opinion is H.264 AVC. The H.264 choices list the resolution of the video. You can also do HD WMV. The HD wmv profiles are at the bottom of the dropdown in the WMV list.

Thanks Carl, now my problem is that using H.264 AVC produces a .m2ts file which I am unable to view. Is there a way to produce a MP4 file?

If you can not view a m2ts file it is because you do not have the Codecs installed for m2ts files.

You should install either ffdshow or K-lite Codec pack.

Search for them, they are free downloads. You install ONE of them, not both.

You could try VLC player.

Thanks for all your help Carl, you are awesome.

I do use VLC player but it could not view the file either. I will try installing one of the Codec packs you mentioned and see if that works cause if it does, problem solved and maybe I can start to have some fun with this video editing... :o)

If you attach a 5 to 10 second clip of your produced m2ts file, some of the editors can test it on their systems.

How you do that to edit down to 5 to 10 seconds one of your MP4 videos and produce that 5-10 seconds to what your normally produce.

Then attach to your post. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.
