Error code: e8007000E - Not enough storage space to complete operation

I am trying to burn a slideshow for my parents of their vacation and I'm getting the following error.

Error code: e8007000E - Not enough storage space to complete operation

I Googled and searched the forums and followed many steps that supposedly fix the issue but still having problems. I deleted all the temp files on PD9 manually. I disabled shadowfiles, i did a CCleaner, defraged my drive and did CCleaner again, rebooted, and when I run the program I error out. At first I errored out at 21% and now i'm erroring out at 16%. Strange part is it gets to 16%, then it jumps to 21% and then jumps back to 16% and that's when I get the error message. When I try to burn with "NO MENU" the program errors out at 0%, so its defiantly something between the end of menu or the beginning of my video.

I was able to run the video in mpeg4 without problems, preview worked fine as well, only time I have a problem is when I try to burn to Harddrive or DVD. I have plenty of hard drive space, also i tried running on an external drive which is more then 500GB.

So there you have it, I think I went over every solution listed on the forums and still nothing works. I'm a little disappointed in the product, at first i thought it was great, but its useless if I can't do what i was promised.

16 to 21% = DVD menu issue. You have a problem with your menu content/choice. You'll have to check what options and what template you're using. If you provide some screenshots, members may be able to assist you. Please provide a diagnostic file.

Part A = 9.0.0.2930

Part B = Diagnostic File attached

I've updated my video drivers to the latest one possible.

The message is correct "you do not have enough space" on your c: drive to build the menus. Your basic system does not have enough power to "effectively" use pd9. you need about 100GB on your system disk to do HD video, a little less 50+ GB for standard def.

the external HD would help if you can set ALL the default file locations to that drive, but many are not easy to find in the options and preferences menus.

I (personnal opinion) feel you will not get satisfactory performance with your laptop and PD9. some of the older versions might do alright, but pd9 was optimized for 64bit systems. RTX 2060 SUPER 8GB GDDR6

When you say it needs 50GB to build menu's what are you calling menu's? Because if your talking about the menu's in front of the movie, I don't need them, i want the video to automatically play when the DVD is put in.

I'm not too worried about performance, i just want the program to work. If it takes me an extra hour or two to render I'm fine with that. When I was buying the application i was told it will work fine on 32bit just not have all the features, I'm fine with that until i save up some money to buy a new computer.

I'll see if I can change the default location to my external drive. hopefully that will work.

And, did it work when you burned to your external drive?

This e8007000E has been bugging me and many others looking at this forum for long time. Today I've added a 2nd HD to my computer; just an old 80 GB that I had kept. This has not solved my problem either. It doesn't matter is I keep my captured file on this drive or my 1st har disk.

You need the 50 to 100 GB free on your C: drive, that is where PD puts its temp files.
Just moving your videos to another drive may free up enough space on C: to work.

HI ... I m done with a movie and now trying to produce it at High Quality Full HD in .wmd format. movie is around an hour long and when it reaches at around 32% completion, a simple message comes up which says "not enough system memory" and then exits producing mode. It takes long time to reach 32% or higher ... and getting that message repeatedly is wasting lots of time.. I have 90 GB free on my computer. I have produced shorter trailers on same format but dint face problems...

Amsof1984: Your situation might be different. Your error message is about insufficient memory whereas the initial poster was getting an error message about not enough space to complete operation.

You say that you have 90 GB free on your computer. As Carl has pointed, the required space has to be available on the C:\ drive because that is where PD stores its temp files during rendering. More than a few folks have bought SSD drives that just don't have the required room for HD editing (100 GB free on C:\ recommended).

It does sound though like you either do not have enough dedicated GPU RAM or enough system RAM. If you could attach a dxdiag file (see sticky thread at the beginning of this forum), we could have a look and either rule those out or indicate where your problems are. Also note that you need the latest QuickTime installed and all of your drivers, particularly video, need to be up-to-date. Go to the video card manufacturer's website - don't trust Windows Update - it is usually generations behind the times.

Hope this helps. Have a great day.

HI Phil

Thanks for a detailed reply.. I have no Idea what to look for in this file and would appreciate your help. I have produced the movie on 3000kbps and faced no issues. But I need the highest FULL HD format. Thanks for your help.

amsof1984:

Thank you for attaching your dxdiag file. I note that you do have sufficient free space on your C:\ drive (over 100 GB free), so that is not your issue. Your system RAM (3 GB) is marginal but should be adequate, though slow, on a x32 version of Windows XP SP3.

My concern is you only have 256 MB of GPU RAM and from what I can figure out (and I am no expert), it appears to be an onboard Intel graphics chip. I think that is likely the cause of your "not enough system memory." With very limited GPU RAM available, PD9 is maxxing out your system RAM or failing because of insufficient GPU RAM for HD video production. As I understand it, HD editing likes a minimum of 512 MB of GPU RAM, and is happiest with 1 GB or more.

Don't do anything until you hear from one of the real experts on this forum because I might be mistaken, but that is my guess.

Have a great day.

It may be possible after you have produced the 5 parts, you might be able to put all 5 of the produced videos on the time line and then produce into one file.

Once all to the rendering is done, SVRT can basically copy the contents of each of the 5 parts into one file.
Takes a big load off the computer.
