Crop to other ratio
[Post New]
Hello all,

Does anybody has a good tip on how to crop a video to a part of the video in an other ratio?
Let me explain: when you have a clip of 16:9, you can only crop to a part of the video in the 16:9 ratio.

But I only want to use for example the lower part (about 1/3th of the video) or only the right half of the video.
PowerDirector requires me to crop in 16:9 ratio. Is there any option to crop in another ratio?

Or an other way to achieve this? Massive.

Hi

In the PIP designer you can use a square/rectangle MASK to create a 4:3 ratio and set the transparency settings to 100%.

Good luck Happing editing

Best Regards

Hi there -

You're right. Cropping won't do it.

Masking will... uncheck the maintain aspect ratio checkbox.

Cheers - Tony

Another way to divide the screen while keeping the full picture, using the mask and TV wall effect
