Fade away

I am new to the program and just went into transitions to add between two clips. I was looking for "fade to black" which is probably the most generic and used transition ever. Can't seem to find it. There are a lot of flashy transitions there which I'm sure serve their respective purpose. But what about a good old fashion "fade to black" ? I'm I just not seeing it?
Thanks,
Michael

You can add a fade transition to the end of a clip when nothing else is next to it. then put stuff next to it. Or click on the clip click modify in the middle bar, click on the second tab . Then on the bottom left click fade out.

In PD9 just add at the beginning trasition FAD (fad in) or final (fad out) of the clip.
2 clips to use two transitions at the end and beginning to darken all of the videos
