Been through all the

1) latest video card driver upgrade for Nvidia GeForce GT 330M
2) Latest Power Director ultra 9 patch
3) Direct X 11 already installed
6 gigs RAM
plenty of HD space
Intel I7 CPU

but unable to import MTS files (or folder containing such files) before power director crashes.

I have worked with prior versions of PD but never seen as buggy and crashing a software as this one.

I wish I could get my money back.

ssarbot;

I am sure the forum moderator can link you to a place to request a refund.

Before you go though, let me tell you, I import and edit and produce from MTS files and folders ALL THE TIME. Are you copying the MTS files to the harddrive before you attempt to open them?

Please provide a DXDIAG for your machine to help us "see" it.

Yes, I have all the .mts files on my hard drive in separate folders (organized by date). This is where I attempt to import from.

I am not certain how to insert an image of my DXDIAG from my computer in a message on this forum.

The computer is a Sony gaming laptop with 64 bit Windows 7 loaded.

We had the Power Director 8 ultra loaded and it worked fine except there were noticeable "hiccups" in each blur transition between video clips. I believe PD 8 is a 32 bit app.

Thought we would get smoother transitions with the 64 bit app but finding that the latest Power Director 9 is Beta still, see lot's of folks in the forums and on the web complaining about crashing and instability.

Seems PD 9 is not ready for prime time and was released hastily.

The method for producing the dxdiag is here:

Part B

This should give a complete view of your system as a .txt file that can be attached to the post.

Ok, lets try that again,

Start
DxDiag
Click save, then save as, (give it a name) save to your desktop,
repeat for both 32bit and 64bit reports
Then attach to your next post.

What you have provided is a screen shot, which is not of any use

Adrian,

Watched your cooking video, would you like to try that with Ted, he's 5.5 metres long (18 feet) for those in the USA
