Hi - complete newbie here. I'm using the 30-day trial of PD9. I'm trying to capture from my Canon Elura 100. The program is talking to the camcorder okay - it starts playing when I select 'Capture from a DV Camcorder'.

* In Preferences>Parameters>DV Capture I've de-selected both DV Auto Stop options.

* In Profile, I've selected DV-AVI Standard Format.

* I click on Perform Manual Batch capture, and it pops up the window for the DV Manual Batch Capture instructions.

The instructions say to click the 'Add' button and then set a start position frame and end position frame using the playback controls and then click [Mark In].

At this point I've got two questions:

1 Which playback controls - on the camera, or on the DV Manual Batch Capture popup?

2 What's 'Mark In'?

If you can think of anything else that's useful that I haven't mentioned, I'd love to hear about it - I'm used to audio software, but this video stuff is rather new to me.

Hi,
Please visit the PD7 forum and view the batch capture video. http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/3523.page
The actions haven't changed a lot as DV is an older format.

Okay, I've tried the set of instructions in the PD7 tutorial you linked to.

* Automatic Batch Capture: The hiccup occurs when I click 'Start' for the automatic batch capture. At that point, nothing happens; nothing's captured.

* Manual Batch Capture: The procedure stops working for me at the point at which I have to select the start position. I can use the toggle wheel to find the start position I want, and the transport controls become active, but no time value appears in the time readout - it stays at 00;00;00;00.

Any ideas what settings I should look at to overcome the problem in either the automatic or manual procedure?
