I am a bit surprised by this thread. Why should we be trying to vet resellers?

If I had doubts about an offer being too good to be true, I would buy it on Credit Card, knowing that (in UK and Europe0 the CC issuer has ultimate responsibility for the transaction. If it is fraudulous, I would have appropriate means to recoup my expenses. Same goes for PayPal.
If I were the business operating on tight margins (so as to make good offers) and the principal forum for the product was slagging my business off, directly or by implication, I would be very cross to say the least.
