Hi,
I am having problems editting sounds/songs and then importing them back into PowerDirector 9

This is what I'm doing
1) I open WaveEditor
2) I import my .mp3 file
3) I do some editting
4) I save the editted file as a different name
5) I then try to import this into PowerDirector 9 but it just hangs

Anyone else had this problem?

Yes! (And then need to use task manager to exit the hung PD9)
But only with some Mp3 files. Not with Wav or Wma audio formats files.

Some video editing software have problems with mp3 when they have VBR (variable bit rate). Try to convert the mp3 VBR to mp3 with CBR (constant bit rate). Use MP3 Packer, it's freeware http://wiki.themixingbowl.org/MP3packer
