I just finished a video for a client and noticed that when the video starts, it plays out of one speaker and then as it gets further into the video, the audio comes out the other speaker. My client is concerned that there is a problem. Is there? I kind of need to know quickly and if there is a problem, what can I do to correct it?

Hi -

There's no known issue with alternating channels, to my knowledge. It's more likely to be something to do with the sound properties of the original recording.

You could overcome it by extracting the audio in Media Library & processing the resultant .WAV file in an audio editor to clean it up.

Import the processed file back into PD, drop it in an audio track & mute the sound of the original clip.

If there are multiple clips, you could either:
(a) produce it first then follow the above procedure, or
(b) process each clip separately.

Cheers - Tony
