Hi ClancM

Welcome to the forum

When you download from the DZ site there are three things editors should do:

Be aware that there a two different template styles 4:3 and 16:9.

1. If you project is 4:3 a 16:9 template will not display in the project and vice versa.

2. Download to a pre-named folder in the Cyberlink folder found in My Documents - so you know where to find them

3. Double click the downloaded file icon and a message will appear saying it has been installed

Hope this helps and happy editing

Hi

Are you downloading from the DirectorZone website or from the downloader in PD9?

I always download direct from the DirectorZone website.

http://directorzone.cyberlink.com/

Have you looked in the PIP Room in PD9 and selected view all?

Other than that I'm at at loss to explain it Happing editing

Also, right click start, open Windows Explorer, go to when the download is, right click and open properties. On the General tab at the bottom it will say the this file has been downloaded from another computer and has been blocked to protect yours. click to unblock click apply and OK. Hope this helps. That's what I had to do.

Open your text in your project library. Using your Windows explorer go to your downloads and double click and that will install it into your text room.

What Windows OS do you have? I'm running Windows 7 and I get everyone I download. Are you still on the trial version or have you paid for it? although I don't think that makes a difference.

That is very strange. I guess the only thing you can do is download them on the one machine then transfer them to your documents file on the other -if you have your PCs on a network.

I'm having the same problem. And with one title ("thought.dzt") I downloaded, it was completely something different in PD than what I had clicked to download.

Quote I'm having the same problem. And with one title ("thought.dzt") I downloaded, it was completely something different in PD than what I had clicked to download.

This is a very old thread, and it actually sounds like you have a different problem where the content doesn't match what you expected.

If some of your titles aren't showing up, make sure that the aspect ratio of the downloaded items match your project's aspect ratio as CubbyHouseFilms posted above 9 years ago. If you have a 16:9 project, no 4:3 content will appear and vice versa.

As for the wrong content, please share which one of the 29 titles that appear when searching for "thought" you downloaded and installed. I tried installing the first 4 on the top row. 3 worked normally, but the one with the front and back of a woman doesn't show up at all. Is that the one giving you the wrong content?

EDIT: I've tracked that down and it's actually a Particle template. I had filtered out everything but titles in my search but that item still showed up
