Hello all,

I've not played a BD in a while but went to play one tonight and PowerDVD fails to run. Looking at the forum members are complaining that PDVD10 in WMC will not work if the latest Microsoft updates have been applied (notably IE 9).

Having read the other posts I have removed IE9, re-installed PDVD 10 to build version 2701 but PowerDVD still does not work, the Loading progress bar comes up and stops at 99%. My PC is patched up to date with the latest updates from Microsoft (BUT NOT IE9). Also added the registry key and ran the PDVD Cinema files as suggested in the other post (incase it was that), still no luck. PDVD still stops at 99%.

DXDIAG attached.

PowerDVD full Version YES 10 Ultra Mk2 10.0.2701.51
PowerDVD SR Number DVD110221-01
PowerDVD TR Number TR110301-018
Operating System W7 64bit
Do you use administrator or restricted user account? Admin
Is your PowerDVD a Retail product or bundles with HW? Retail (upgrade from 9 Ultra)
Used VGA Ati 5670
Do you use Amplifier Onkyo TX-SR705
Used Display(s) Samsung UE40C8000
Which kind of display connection HDMIWhich display refresh rate do you use while Playback 60, 24 for playback (auto switches)
Are you using single or dual monitor environment Single
What kind of Antivirus SW are you using MS Security Essentials

Any assistance is greatfully received.

Appologies, the registry key in this post

plus removing IE9 has fixed the issue.
