Use hardward acceleration?

The previous software I tried advised me to turn off hardward accelerationin Windows inorder to free upprocessing power. Is this relevant to this software?

I also found that the preview of the film shows the music and video out of sync but the final rendered file was fine. I presume this is down to a processing time problem which is why I wondered about the gardward acceleration thing... Arthur

Welcome to the forum. Yes, turning off hardware acceleration does resolve some issues that arise for PD9 users.

The preview window is just that - a preview. It is consuming varying amounts of CPU, depending on the resolution selected, so sync problems are not unusual, particularly at high resolutions, and particularly if the computer is underpowered.
