I registered a PowerDirector question with technical support on May 3rd. On May 10th, I finally got a reply. The only thing the email really did was to ask me to send my product serial number, and included a link showing me how to get it. What a disappointment! I've been a registered customer for about three years. You'd think they could at least attempt a stab at an answer.

This is the first time I've used technical support. Is is always this delayed? Do they ever come back with a useful answer? This isn't the only video editing software available, and I think when it's time to renew, I'll be looking elsewhere.

There are many, many answers that can be found here. Check out the "Read Me" posts first to see how things work here. Also use the search button to find many previously answered questions. If none of this helps, feel free to post your question and someone will try to help you out. We are all users of the product and are here to help each other. Please remember to thank those who help you though. We are all one community and do not get paid for our assistance.

Kevin, Thanks for your post. I agree with you. I think this forum is very useful. My comment was in regard to the official support structure. Most help desks that I've dealt with give you a response within 48 hours. So, I assumed that since I needed a reply in a hurry, that would be the quickest way to ask.
Having experienced the delay in trying to go through the official support channel, I would definitely ask my question here, first, next time.
