I have very limited time online. One hour a day. I want to try powerdirector, it looks good. I believe I have the correct operating system and the computer skills necessary to use it etc. Will buy if it works. Have paypal etc.

I would appreciate it if someone would tell me how I can get the trial version of the powerdirector program.

I can have the computer for over an hour but have to register in advance for that.

I have windows xp, and use videopad and moviemaker- I've posted on myspace and youtube. (but not in mp4's. )

thanks.

The fastest way to download the PowerDirector 9 Trial is by using a Free Download Manager. Search Google.

The Powerdirector 9 Trial is about 471 Megabytes.
Cyberlink's typical download speed is about 50-60 Kbps.

If you use a download manager, you can get the full bandwidth of your Internet connection. Whatever that may be.

My connection is 5 Mbps, If I use a Download Manager, I should be able to download the PD9 Trial in about 13 minutes. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.

I was going to say basically what Carl has said.

I use Filezilla, but most download managers will let you split downloads or start where you left off if you get disconnected.

However, you need to know that if you are planning on putting PD9 on a computer that does not have internet connection you are wasting your time. You MUST have a internet connection to register it and get it to run.

Even if you can run the trial version does not always mean you can the retail version. The trial is a watered down version and DOES NOT upgrade to the retail version. You will have to uninstall the trail to before you can install the two retail version files.

Thanks Carl and Bubba.
It's disapointing that I can't get powerdirector for my offline computer, but it's good to know the facts.

I use videopad, but would like to include some footage taken with an HD h.264 camera (in my "Watkins Glen Grand Prix Festival" video, featuring my cousins d-jag, to be put on youtube.)

I have found an acceptable way to do it, but there is still a little jerking in the widescreen footage.

Could you recommend video editing software I could use, considering I have no internet connection?

I have several video editing programs and they ALL require internet activation.

Same as Vista and Windows 7... and Windows 7 especially. It has to be online just to install everything. That's the direction all software is going to.

If you have an Internet connection available for the time it takes to activate the software after installing, a permanent Internet connection is not necessary while using the software.

Activation only takes a couple of seconds, but you must have the Internet connection when you enter the CD serial number.

Is there any way for you to connect your off line computer to the Internet for a few minutes.

If your computer has an Ethernet connection, you can just plug your computer into a router that has an Internet connection. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.

I'm afraid it may be beyond my capabilities here- I was told to get off this 15 minute computer half hour ago, in fact. ( I don't even drive!)

What about Videopad? I have the free version- but the ability to export as mp4 is disabled after 14days.

I like videopad- it works a lot better than win moviemaker, but can't work with mp4 videos-

any suggestions would be great help
