Is there a way to get rid of those 5 default images in Powerdirector? I won't be using them and they pop in there whenever I try to create a new project and I have to constantly delete them from the library...a step I'd like to avoid if I can. They even snuck into one of my presentations as I missed deleting one from the library.

There's probably an easy fix and I'm not seeing it.

I did just upgrade from the trial to the full version and hoped I could do it in there, but to no advail... Thanks for any help. Dustie
I'm still working on it....

Thanks ynotfish! I knew there had to be a way and I just wasn't finding it. Appreciate it. I'm sure I'll have more questions, newbie that I am, to both Powerdirector and to making Videos! Glad you guys are here!

Another thing that helped me is that I just took time to browse through all the menus and options (some of which terms I still need to learn). From there though you can search through the users manual and then refer back to the forum.

You'll find some neat features that PD-9 has. Its nice to have those sample files as you can experiment with them.

The sample files are very useful if you are trying to solve a problem and you don't know if your video is causing the problem.

The sample files are always supposed to work. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.

Also when you are having a problem and use the sample files, we all have those same files and it helps us to try to reproduce and solve your issue quicker. They will still be in your Cyberlink directory if you ever need them again.

I just wish Cl would include a 10 second video in all supported video formats as sample files too. __________________________________________

I actually use the aquarium clip from previous versions of PD, and the stock wildlife clip from Microsoft, place them in my samples folder, too. Many of us have those clips in their computer, so it is a good reference, just in case. This practice also gives me 2 additional clips to remove from my library, in the event I forget to uncheck the option, but hey, whose counting. HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)
