Not running as does not install, or not running after installing? Clicking the icon suggests it is installed but not running. We need a lot more info....

Do you have quicktime installed? Must have it and have the latest version..........

Go here for the kind of info we need, it was on the first forum page.

Hi Bob,
You need to provide a diagnostic file. Bubba has already pointed you to the guides, Part B.
Thanks

Did you disable your Anti-Virus and Spyware programs and try to install? We had a problem at work where the Trend Micro Anti-virus wouldn't let us install a program. The symptoms were exactly what you're describing for your PD9 installation attempt.

Bob: I took a look at your dxdiag. A couple of things struck me immediately. Your DirectX is pretty old (Version 9) and your computer might be marginal at running PD9. You only have 3 GB of RAM which is on the border and you don't have the most able CPU. I am not seeing any Dedicated Video Memory either on your card.

I suspect that you might have more success with a more capable computer, but I can explain at all why the PD9 installer won't even start and your other program as well.

Minimum requirements: http://www.cyberlink.com/products/powerdirector/requirements_en_CA.html

Hope this helps a little. Have a great day.

Regards,

You have good enough minimums to run PD9. I have 4 gig installed but only 3.6 available and I have no issues. For 32 bit that's about all your gonna get.

I take your video card has 780 meg memory, that's plenty and that is not a bad integrated card from what I read. Or at least that's what I found doing a search for your card. You do need get current with DirectX and all your drivers and codecs up to date. But for sure the DirectX. Your 2 versions behind. I couldn't tell if there was new video drivers available as all I found had different version number sequences than what your spec shows.

What is your computer make and model? Did I miss it in the specs? I want to go see the manuf specs....

PD9 over all other versions of PD requires having everything absolutely current ......
