Youcam 4 Upgrade will not work

I purchased a youcam 4 upgrade two weeks ago and have not being able to install it on my laptop. I have contacted technical support 4 times now. They keep telling me to clean my registery and install the upgrade then. I have tried and tried and not succeeded. Everytime it comes to inputing the CD-Key it tells me that the key is wrong and to check the shipment order for the right Key. Technical support just sends the same message over and over. It takes them over three days to reply to my support ticket. I am Getting very frustrated with them messing me about. Can sombody please help me or if not how do I get a refund. They are not providing the service that they should by law. I am not paying more money for them to help. As far as I know this is against the law in my country. This is the message I keep getting from support. Which is of no help. Same one four times, I have tried and it does not work.

I understand that you have purchased CyberLink Youcam 4 and you are unable to activate it.

NOTE: Please note the main cause of your issue is you are using trial version and trying to activate, which is impossible. So, uninstall that first and then download the full version provided below and install that.

In response to your concern, I suggest you to download the CyberLink Cleaner tool from the link given below and then try to uninstall and reinstall the software :

Note: Please select, copy and paste the above FTP link in the Internet Explorer properly. Then enter the Account Name and Password given below:

Username : ***
Password : ********

When you get a prompt for Open/Save the file. Please choose to save the file on your computer hard drive and then run the file to install CLCleaner.exe

Steps

1.Run CLCleaner_YouCam.exe (when "Thank you" pops up, your registry of YouCam has been cleaned up)

2. Redownload YouCam software.

3. Install YouCam. (even when the previous version still exists)

Being a valuable customer of CyberLink, I will provide you a download link for Youcam 4.0 (Full Version).

I suggest you to uninstall the YouCam from your computer first and then install the below given version.

Please follow the link below to download the same:

Important Instructions:

1. User name and password are case sensitive and must be typed exactly as it is. There must be "NO SPACE" before or after user namve and must be typed exactly as it is. There must be "NO SPACE" before or after user name and password.

I have the exact same problem. I had youcam2 then I had to uninstall it and then install ver. 4. Cd-Key incorrect.

Has anyone on here has their issues resolved yet? Seems to me like this company has a reputation for the 'run-arounds' I have still not had any of my issues resolved, answering back with one sentences don't help people that know much, i think they want everyone to buy into their phone support!! Sucks, I am contemplating getting a refund. sadie singh

I wound up getting my refund, nothing suggested made even any sense. Company does not know about their oem upgrade path is broken. Note: I will add something cool.....someday.....

The Cyberlink cleaner link does not work, it's a zip file and does not open but to a notepad page. I keep getting messages of what to do to uninstall Youcam 3 so I can load my new Youcam 4 disk and nothing has worked and now I don't have a working webcam at all.

My ticket number is CS001030410 and it seems that I am having the same problem every one else is and my product number for the Youcam 4 is also has an error code of Product definitation file lost the license code is also wrong or won't go through Y169486153x861j4
