I don't know mush about computers, But my problem is, Every time I click on my Cyberlink PowerDirector9, It starts to load up and the file is ready to loaded the stopped working program comes on......I can't get in! This happen before in the past where after couple try, I was able to get in...as time went on, I had no problem with it.I purchased 4 months ago...It started again last week, But now it comes on every time with every try! I uninstall and reinstall...downloaded all updates....I also updated my NVIDIA graphics card. Is my software corrupt? I sent two emails to support all ready. This only happens to this application. I don't know what to do anymore. Please help. Thanks

Am I right in thinking that the program opens BUT you have it set to load the last project you were working on? When it starts to load the project you get the error message? OR Power Director not load at all.

Hi McLean, Yes I do have it to load my last project, Always had it that way. I don't get any error message, But I do get "PowerDirector has stopped working" see photos. I got a reply today from Technical Support, They said to disable my UAC or try the MSCONFIG....both didn't work! My computer is a little faster now "I left the msconfig on"! I will let TS know. Like I said before, I don't know mush about computer so any help will be greatly appreciated from you guys. Thanks

Looking at your screen shot 014, it looks like your main menu icons File, Save,Edit etc are abnormal - not just hidden/expanded by the blue PD icon. I have experienced a similar issue and it required a full uninstall, a "deep" clean, a re-install (in my case starting with 2330) and then testing each patch carefully. As it happens I still just run on 2330 because the later patches seem to cause issues.

Personally, I don't have autoload last project on, as it is possible then for that project to be corrupted and therefore cause PD to crash, thus never allowing you in at all.
In such cases you have to change the registry entry manually ( be very careful if you are not experienced at editing your registry ). The appropriate entry is at :

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cyberlink\PowerDirector\9.0\AutoLoadPrj

the value should be
00 00 00 00 for no loading
or
01 00 00 00 for loading

Cheers
Adrian

I get the same when I load a big project. It hangs for a while and windows tells me the Program Has Stopped Working but it eventually loads if I wait and give it time.

Is there any way then to alter the timeout setting in windows before giving the error if it is the cause in OP's message? I don't want to hijack the thread though if issues are unrelated.
