Kind of new to using this program. I am pretty sure PD8 will do what I want done, I just don't know how to get there.

I am trying to edit a .mov file that is approximately 800MB in size. I need to compress it down to below 500MB, while maintaining quality. Video was shot using a Kodak ZI8 video recorder in 720p. This camera can also record in 1080, 720p60fps, and WVGA. I do not know what the differences would be using any of those recording options.

When using "produce" in PD8, which format do I use to accomplish what I need? Scott Senner

There are only a few ways to reduce the file size of Video.

The file size of video is determined by many interrelated parameters.

Resolution, Bitrate, file compression are the primary factors that effect the file size.

The quality of the video is largely the bitrate, bitrate is also a large component of the file size.

Compression is the container format, such as MPEG or MPEG4, MOV, AVC and so on.

To reduce file size, means losing quality also, it a compromise any way you go.
