Thanks for those tutorials.

Its been a steep learning curve for me going to advanced features now I'm doing a video with lots of clips and smartsound.

The tutorials are a great service.

Oh, so you have to be in the music editor to be able to lower the volume of a SS Clip as you end up in the SS library when placing the clip; and my instinct is to immediately highlight and mouse click to find a menu function and see video editing is greyed out.

I've been moving those dots around and editing the key frame. I'm new to the keyframe and I assume its connected in a way to the music editor. I have not gotten to that page in the manual yet.

Once again, thanks for that tutorial as it has already helped me.

One question though.

I when I have a voice clip over my SS Clip, I can only adjust the sound for the voice clip and moving the dots (keys) lower in the SS Clip has no affect on lowering the SS Clip.

I did get it working but sometime it feels as if the setting don't take right away.

I also see how keyframes, volume editor, and the sound points relate.

Dave: This probably should be a new topic. Have you tried highlighting the SS clip and going to the audio room and lowering the music track volume there?

As you are probably aware, I am having my own SS issues, but I will keep plugging along - I know that CL and SS and the pros here will find a solution eventually. Great product, this PD9

Have a great day.

Excellent production detailing the use of smart sound.

Fortunately it also magnifies the issues that this feature offers within PD9 - it's not for everyone. There's no mention of the exorbitant costs involved to buy audio tracks, which is the main deterrent for most users. Win 10, i7

Thanks for saying that HDedit. A complete library would far exceed the total cost of PD9. I suppose there are plenty of sales, but SS is a luxury that I simply cannot afford.

Although this is not a Smartsound SALES forum, they are a bonafied PD plug-in.
Smartsound has frequent markdowns and volume discounts.

Thanks Barry,

I should have also said that I am grateful for the SS songs which work in MM, supplied with PD9. They are absolutely amazing in their quality and the ability to extend them indefinitely and precisely are truly a gift.

I guess my earlier post was more a reflection of old age and fixed income than anything else.

Your PDToots really helps in understanding how the supplied songs can be put to work. A lot of music in various styles is supplied, more than enough to occupy my untalented efforts for a long time.

There are, of course, other sources of music, but I have found the mini-programmable music tracks not only very good, but fun to use.
The important thing is, SOUND is also a good way to state your message, or entertain, and the video is a tool to deliver that. HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)
