Nirmala: Sorry to hear of your problems. The pros here are going to need a lot more information to be able to help you, and they do want to help you. There is a message pinned at the top of the forum that explains what they need by way of info. In brief, they will need to know details of your project, type of clips, what you are producing or burning to (in what format). How long is your project? A dxdiag of your system would help. An image of your workspace when PD9 hangs would also help. Some systems are underpowered. How much RAM, how much Hard Disk space free.

Have you tried disabling Hardware Acceleration both on the burn screen and also in preferences, including SVRT. Sometimes these cause problems. Do you have the latest patch (2702). That patch resolved some burning problems.
