Hi hope someone can help me with this,

I want to edit a title and make it like I want. Instead of the title droping down I want it to swirl around when it comes in. Not to sure how to explain it. Is there a way to do this?

E.M.,
There are titles that come with PD8 to choose from. If none of these suit your fancy you can go to director's zone and look at the available for download options there.
If you choose to download and use one of these, make sure to create a folder where you can easily find them and download to there. Once you have them d/l'd, simply open that folder and click on the d/l's and they will install into PD8.
There is a wide variety of things to choose from as well. Just make note of which ones are 4:3 and 16:9 ratios as most only work for their specific format.
Hope this helps!

Cheers!
Kevin R.

In what way do the videos on Youtube don't work?

Youtube uses their own player that should play on any computer that has Adobe Flash installed in the browser.
If Flash is not installed, you should get a request to install the active X control. It is safe to do so. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.

I don't know why but when I go to PDToots on YouTube I just get a black screen. Other You Tube videos work.

You can keyframe (change an effect overtime) the rotation of a title in video editing software. Not sure if PD offers that.

Thank you everyone for all your help!

Kevin.R,
I will go to dirctor zone and see what I can find.

And Elwood Blues,
I,m not sure if PD offers that either. Not really sure what you mean by (change an effect overtime) And I don't understand what keyframe the rotation of a title means either. This probebly sounds silly to you. Sorry to be such a problem! :/

Hi Emily -

What title transitions have you tried?

Some that have a bit of spin about them are:

Spiral - Swirl - Roller Coaster - Rolling - Rotate

The keyframes Elwood was talking about (in Titles) control
a. the time for the transition/effect (in & out)
b. the time the title is displayed (still)

You can slide them to change how fast the effect happens.

Cheers - Tony
