Hi. I am an IT technician at a school in Denmark and we are in the process of finding a video editing program. So I have downloaded the 64bit version as a trial and was very pleased with it. The question however goes for the deluxe version of it. Can I edit MTS files like in the 64bit version or do I need to buy the 64bit version?

Is it only the video ->capturing<- that doesn't support the MTS format.

I have tried searching around for a question similar to this and the website says it doesn't support it for the deluxe version. Maybe it is just me being Danish and reading it wrong? ^^

Hopefully you guys can help me out and give an answer to as, I can edit mts files and throw them into the deluxe version. Thank you.

It appears to me Deluxe shys away from anything HD. I wouldn't touch Deluxe if using anything HD.

I'd go with Ultimate and pay a little extra.

It is not clear what PD does with any particular type of HD file unless you really take a lot of time and dig into the specs.

Ultimate is not specifically 64 bit. I'm using it at 32 bit and am editing MTS files.

Make sure you get PD9 Ultimate and not PD8 Ultimate

By ultimate you mean ultra right?

If so the price is double of the deluxe version and if the deluxe version can edit the MTS files then I don't need the 64bit ultra version anyways, since the school's computers aren't 64bit.

Thank you for the reply though

Yea I do mean Ultra not Ultimate.

I saw $70 for the Deluxe and $95 for the Ultra.

I don't know if the trial is for ultra or deluxe or both where you can try them out. I see a few have bought the deluxe only to wish they had bought the ultra. You can upgrade but upgrading from one soft. ver. to another is a hassle.

I had to keep windows 3.1 on hand all the way to windows vista.

Hi Rune J,
FYI, CyberLink like other software companies offer a special discount price for multi-purchasing of their product for educational establishments. The price varies according to how many licenses are required.

If you provide me with your contact details, and specific numbers by PM, I will pass on your enquiry for the volume sales staff to respond.

Answers.
1. You'll need the Ultra version.
2. There isn't a Dansk language pack
