ok.
According to this picture, its the range selector "M"
http://powerdirector.helpmax.net/en/the-powerdirector-workspace/
I consider the range selector the cursor then or vert blue line.
I consider the storyboard/timline the editing workspace "L".
I may be getting story board and timeline mixed up here. Timeline = story board.
There is a vertical blue line that follows the mouse around when you click lets say on a video segment in the timeline. I'll call it the timeline cursor for lack of a better name. This line/cursor attaches to the left side of the media segment in the timeline when that segment is selected/highlighted.
Now when I move/drag a sound segment in the timeline just to the right one second ( I know its a tiny amount), the segment snaps back to the cursor line like magnet.
The grid I am speaking of is in the time line not up in the video display area.
If I move the segment far, its OK as it move far from the cursor and doesn't snap back to it so I can then position it more precisely. But I need to move it a tiny amount second by second until it precisely at the right spot to line the sound segment up with the tadpole suddenly wiggling its tail and taking off.
