Hi everyone,

I have Power director 8. And Vista

I'm just new at this, and I need some help on spliting or cutting or trimming anedited video.

Here is what I want to do,
I made a 9 min. edited video clip and now I want to upload to a website, but I have to convert it to MPEG1 first. But MPEG1 converting dosn't work on my PD8, so I downloaded a MPEG1 converter, and converted the video. Now I want to upload to website, but the website is telling me it is to large a file. So I'm asuming I need to split the hole thing in half, and have a part one and part two. Can anyone tell me how to do this? Thanks! Hope you get all that!

The easiest way to split the produced file is to start a new project and import the produced video to PD and put it in the timeline and split it there. Put in the needed titles and produce separate files.

Thanks!
Much appreciated!

Do you have any ideas for getting my MPEG1 to work? I clicked on it to produce a video and a box came up saying that I wouldn't be able to use widscreen on MPEG1. And it had a check box (checked) with written beside it "remind me of this everytime I do this" Or something like that not sure of the exsact wording. So I unchecked the box 'cuz I didn't want it to keep reminding me of this. But alas, it dosn't even let me click it anymore! Any thoughts on it? Hope this makes sense! Not to good at explaining in wrighting!

Can your site you want to upload the video to support wmv video?

Mpeg1 may only support 4:3 ratio video. Not 16:9.

If so you can use WMV in widescreen or full screen.
PowerDirector has several profiles for wmv. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.
