I am able to view videos but when I add to the timeline and add other effects, I cannot view anything as there is just a blank green screen in the preview window. Although, the audio comes through.

I have been able to produce videos without this problem but it just started occuring. A reboot appeared to resolve but not working now. http://www.coachingyou.org/

Hi

As a 'quick' fix try updating Quicktime and your video graphic drivers.

If this does not work please provide a diagnostic file of your set up as per the instructions at the start of the forum.

Happing editing

Best Regards

is your source a Panasonic camera??.. I have the exact issue when trying to edit video from my TZ10.. my PC plays it with no issues or problems.. PD8 can also play the video with no problems but as soon as I drag to the timeline the video gets a green wash or the top half of the video gets a green wash

I assumed this was some oddness in the Panny AVCHDlite format which is their own standard and is not 100% compliant with the global AVCHD format

Drivers and patches are fine and as stated even PD8 can play the raw files with no issues

ok.. this must be something to do with my gfx as suggested above.. if i go to 'edit/preferences/editing' and turn off 'enable hardware decoding' the issue goes away... only thing is that it may impact the end file quality but I have some testing to do yet
