Help please!

PowerDVD 10 works very well with bluray since 09/04/2010 until 21/02/2011 but powerdvd 10 becomes impossible for bluray.

PowerDVD 10 still works, but bluray give error 800401F9, after doing the well documented and seemingly unsolvable region code entry thing with zero changes available.

I do not understand how number of region changes were 5 to 0 that become due without touching or changing area?

So I've since uninstalled PDVD10 , cleaned registry of PDVD10 entries and rebooted. Reinstalled PowerDVD 10 and ran the upgrade again but now I receive an error 800401F9 launcher for blu ray.

The above is the short version of events, several hours spent repeating steps above, with patch, without patch ,even disabled avast antivirus even etc.

PowerDVD 10 Install is now good but the region code problem remains. I need to enter a region code when playing a BD but number of region changes = 0, giving error 800401F9.

I can not find or is the problem? I checked number of region in windows but windows is normal so it does not change area.

powerdvd 10 become very impossible but I think we must have new patch for repair of changes that region has the bug.

Result = no Success

Just a short a little in English I'm in France

hi

I already have removed all files powerdvd (C: \ Program Files (x86) \ CyberLink \ PowerDVD10, C: \ Users \ nick \ AppData \ Local \ Cyberlink \ PowerDVD10 C: \ Users \ nick \ Documents \ CyberLink and C: \ Users \ nick \ AppData \ Roaming \ CyberLink) but I do not see other folders hide powerdvd.

I install PowerDVD, I check the settings configuration powerdvd => Bluray but the same problem area is always zero. Result = no Success

it is very strange. I think that may be powerdvd bluray bug or I think may be due to win 7 or avast sp1 6 that out between 21/02/11 and 26/02/11 but it is not. is that you will find other folders hide powerdvd?

I have exact same issue with Win 7 Home Premium SP1 and Avast 6.0. Have you tried the new PowerDVD patch that was just released? I have not yet.

You are right. Avast 6 is causing the problem. I disabled all the Avast modules and Blu-ray discs play fine. I see you posted in the forums over at Avast. I commented there, also. I have opened a ticket with Avast Support. I will keep you advised of the resolution.

Received successful solution from Avast Support. It is to disable "Monitor the system for unauthorized modifications" in behavioral shield. PowerDVD works after doing this.

I'm now getting this error with Avast completely disabled. I've also disabled Windows FireWall.

Has anyone else had this problem when Avast is totally disabled?

PowerDVD: 10.0.1830.51
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit
Avast: disabled
Windows Firewall: disabled
Graphics: ATI Radeon 2600 HD Pro

Error: Internal Error 800401F9

I uninstalled Avast using Revo Uninstaller, deleted all folders and registry keys, then ran the "awsclear.exe" uninstaller available from the Avast website.

I also tried the suggestions of Cyberlink tech support RE: turning off UAC and selective startup via MSCONFIG (as in no startup programs running after reboot).

No change. I still get "internal error 800401F9" after two prompts for the region ID. As far as I'm concerned, PowerDVD 10 is broken.

Anyone else had better luck?
