PowerDVD 10 Error Message 1402 when applying patch 2701 from 2325

I am getting the same message: "error 1402. Could not open key: UNKNOWN\Components\95993bb6958792283a526b94b78cf2f9\a7802c820477af4fb52e6750539f0cd. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel."

I am using Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit English.

Sorry to see you have 2 problems and 1 of them just trying to apply the update...

If it was me i would uninstall, run the associated cleaner, turn off any antivirus software, reboot, and install again.
Make sure to activate successfully before installing the update. Check to make sure you have the proper update ultra, deluxe or standard! There are 3 different files in the updates page and you can only use the update for your version.

I have cleaned once and reinstalled it. Problem still same.

I am outside of house and I can't provide so much information. Will update soon.

Below is some info.

PowerDVD Ultra 10 Mark II version 10.0.2325
Windows 7 Home Premium SP 1 64 Bit
I have administrator right to do the install and patching.
My PowerDVD is retailed version.
VGA MSI 4870x2 2GB with Catalyst 11.2

I saw the info need to provided is a lot. Please let me know what is essential and I will provide once I am at home.

I am using single monitor setup. Dell LCD 24" Inch

- the 32Bit DXDIAG
- the used Antivirus

I have contacted technical support and I followed the instruction given but the problem still same.

Please help.

Attached is the DXDiag file and I am using Microsoft Security Essential.

I tried with the anti virus not running but the problem still appear.

Did you tried CLCleaner-PowerDVD10-Patch.exe? You can get one from technical support.

I found that they have two clean tools for PowerDVD 10, one is called CLCleaner-PowerDVD10-Patch.exe, the other is called CLCleaner-PowerDVD10.exe.

Hope this can help.

Do what I did 1) Try Arcsoft Trial and be amazed that software can actually work 2) Get your refund request in before your 30 days are up.
