Hi. I am a newbie myself, only having used PD9 for a couple of months.
I have experienced an "e-series" burn error myself. In my case, rebooting and inserting a DVD that I knew was "virgin" solved my problem.
I am a little embarrassed as a newbie on this forum that your legitimate request for help seems to have been hijacked. I have found PD9 to be a very good product and although I have encountered problems, most of them were of the "chair/keyboard interface" variety; i.e., I didn't know what I was doing.
Have you tried producing your video? If it will produce to .mpeg2 and you can play the resulting file "produce.mpg" on Windows Media Player, then we know that your project files are good. You could burn that file using Power2Go or other burning software; or you could try putting the "produce.mpg" file in a new project, and then burn to folder or attempt another "burn to disc." There are so many variables that it is sometimes difficult to isolate the problem and correct it, without knowing more about what you are attempting to do and what your setup is. There is a pinned post about the information the pros, who are normally quite helpful, need to know to help you diagnose and correct your issue.
I am really sorry that you have not received the answers you would like to, and should have, received. PD9 is a great product, but there will always be bugs and no two computers have the exact same configuration and PD9 is fussy about up-to-date drivers, codecs, and sufficient horsepower to get the job done.
I "stole" the response below from Tony on the DirectorZone forum - thank you, Tony, one of the real pros.
I hope that you will give PD9 another "go" and check out the DirectorZone forums, where Tony can be found and other pros as well. This forum is also a wealth of information. In this case, I think things got off of the rails with the flaming and your issue got lost in the shuffle.
Have a great day.
Regards,
-Phil
