MP3 burning - song order

Everytime I add MP3 files in the order that I want before burning, the songs will end up burning in alphabetical order (in order of artists' name). How do I get around this?

It seems there is a "move up" and "move down" arrow, but they are not much of use if it is going to burn my musics in alphabetical order.

PLease help?

Hi Nini:

Don't know if this will help you . . . but, here's what I do for several playback media such as CD, DVD, USB flash, etc.

For those finicky playbacks that won't run in the order I prefer I sometimes label them 01title, 02title, 03title or 01spacetitle, 02spacetitle, 03spacetitle. Space is a space and title is the name of your track (song). You will need to add the extension such as .mp3, .wav, .wma, or whatever format you use.

Example: 01LaLa.mp3, 02DoReMi.mp3, 03FaSoLa.mp3
or
01 LaLa.mp3, 02 DoReMi.mp3, 03 FaSoLa.mp3
or for lots of tunes, perhaps use 001, 002, 003 and so on.

Can't say it will work for you, but it may. Gud Luk!

Tip: You can also make a folder, name it, and put a group of songs in it using this method. Make more folders and name the tracks starting from 01 again and so on. This will be great for more controlled playback (playlists) on CDs/DVDs and USBs on TVs, PCs, and in the car for example.

I've put in a ticket to Cyberlink re this issue; however, I've yet to receive a satisfactory answer. In the meantime, I've found that ITunes which is free will do what you want - i.e., burn MP3 tracks in the order you set. Simply create a Playlist, move your songs into the playlist, order them the way you want, right click the playlist name and click 'Copy to Play Order', then right click the playlist name again and click 'Burn Playlist to CD'! Bingo - it works every time. Seems that Power2Go should at least be able to duplicate this free functionality from ITunes!

Have you found any work around on this yet? Seem's like the sorting option might be enabled by default. In any way, I cannot find the option to modify this.
