importing .mov video files

I recently purshased powerdirector 3.0 and powerVcR II 3.0. Actually the products came with my video magician hardware. I have several . mov file that I would like to combine but these products seemingly do not recognize the extensiion .mov Is there any way of convering these files to a usable format

Version 3 sounds a bit lame...version 5 lets import QT files

I too am having trouble with qt files. I have version 5 and have 2gb mem, but the program locks up when trying to edit qt files. Any ideas?

I know Pinnacle won't accept .mov, but PD v5 can definitely do this - it works flawlessly for me.
