Hi,

Try the following.

1. Spread the timeline out
2. Locate the gaps between the clips
3. Position the cursor and "Right Click" on your mouse
4. In the displayed dialogue box, select "Remove and Close gap"
5. repeat as needed.

Did that help?

Thanks: That should work, I found that if I drag/ load the clips and enter them into the bottom from the left, no blanks, didn't seem to matter in PD8

I had the same problem at first. After expanding the time line then I could see the gaps because we are used to the new item just snapping against the last item in the line.

If you right click in the gap you will get a pop up edit window... See attached.

Another option would be to click on the storyboard option, you should be able to see the black squares there and just delete them. Sometimes when I'm worried about things being abutted properly I load my video this way, then there are no spaces in between.

draging the clips and entering them from the left eliminates the blanks for me, don't know why 9 works that way, I am sure there are importnt issues that are an improvement over pd8

Also to note: if transitions are applied BEFORE clips are inserted sometimes spurious short clips are left behind that are not wanted. Adding transitions at the end of a project is more reliable for some reason. Win 10, i7
