ACVHD - Fast Forward

Hi All,

When editing AVCHD video, I frequently use the Fast Forward button to scan the video clip for stuff I need to delete.

I noticed something weird happening when I do this in PD9:

I hit the Fast Forward two or three times, and scan the video for about 8 - 10 seconds. As soon as I hit the Play button, the cursor jumps way up the video track about 30 - 40 seconds.

I was editing some SD video the other day and noticed that this does not happen with SD. When I hit the Play button, the cursor stays where it was.

Anyone else experience this?

Thanks,
Brady

Is it perhaps your PC/video card is not up to displaying the HD video fast enough and it lags behind the true position of the video which then plays once ffd ceases? (a bit hard to explain what I am getting at....)

To test use SD vieo and use ffd for a set time eg 10 secs and then see where the cursor gets up to on the timeline.
Repeat the exact same process for HD video. Does the cursor go to about the same place once you press play as the SD video? Panasonic SD9, Panasonic TM700, Panasonic SD600, GoPro HD Hero.
