PD version 9.0.0.2330a has problems to import a 8.5 GB H.264 AVC file:

1. After importing the file into the library, there appear 3 identical files: filename, filename(1) and filename(2)
2. each file appears with only 282,77 MB file size and plays only 20 minutes instead of 1:30 hours

Is there a way to import/edit files > 2GB?

The file was created by a HDTV hard disc recorder "ReelBox Avantgarde II"

http://www.reel-multimedia.com/en/shop_reelbox_satellitenfernsehen_technical_data.php

and copied to my computer via Gigabit LAN. The file is ok, Windows Media Player, VLC and others can perfectly play the record. Also PD9 can play and edit smaller files below 2 GB.

Ahh yes, probably transport stream dumped directly from DTV transmission? I assume DTV is mpeg4 in German?

I have had trouble with transport streams from digital transmission. Not very good headers on the files I'm afraid. One of my applications says files are 30 mins but happily plays 2hrs of video. Lots of other niggling problems as well.

You could try remuxing with tsMuxer or streamclip to clean up the file. Panasonic SD9, Panasonic TM700, Panasonic SD600, GoPro HD Hero.

Right, it is a high definition record coming from satellite "ASTRA 19.2° east" via DVB-S2.

I made another attempt with a file size of only 8 GB - and it worked! PD9 shows

file type: MPEG-2 transport stream
file size: 8,02 GB
video type: H.264 AVC
bitrate: 3 Mbps
resolution: 1280 x 720
50 fps

Anyway, thanks for your fast reply!
