Hi,

please enable the Uncompressed HD Audio option while playback the DTS-HD-MA or DD-THD with Blu-ray.
The uncompressed HD audio option is not available before playback such audio!

Hello Michael,

The Uncompressed HD Audio option is not available under the 'Output Mode' when playing back a DTS-HD-MA Blu-Ray. The only options available are 'Non-decoded Dolby Digital/DTS audio to external device' or 'PCM decoded by PowerDVD'.

Andrew

Hi,

thanks for your feedback.
We are investigating this issue.

could you try to :

1. uninstal ATI HDMI audio device driver that came with Catalyst?
2. install Relatek ATI HDMI driver from Realtek site?

Thanks and
BR
Michael

I have the same issue with the Radeon 6850. I had the 5750 and the HD Audio worked well over HDMI (TrueHD, DTS Master). After swapping to the 6850 and updating to the 10.12 ATI drivers, the high definition audio is not an option in the output dropdown.

I'm running PowerDVD 10 Mark II 2325 (latest patch). The older ATI drivers (10.11) won't work with the 6800 series card... could be related to the update to 10.12.

I had a similar problem with my Onkyo receiver connected via HDMI to my HTPC (ATI HD5400 series).
I wasn't able to get bitstreaming (thus DTS HD Master and Dolby TrueHD) to work.

Solution to my problem was this:
http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1227161

I installed the EDID Override "Hitachi L42S503 - ONKYO TX-SR605" and bitstreaming worked like a charm from that point on. For you, the proper override could be "Panasonic TH-42PZ700U - ONKYO TX-NR905" I guess. Don't know if this is related in any way to your problem, but I thought it might help to bring this up here

Greets,
Alex

Thanks Alex

I haven't tried this yet, seems pretty involved. However, since it worked with my 5750 this morning but not my 6850 this afternoon, with all other equipment being equal, it seems like its related to PowerDVD and ATI 10.12 drivers with the new line of cards.

Hey JEFF,

yep, seems pretty obvious in your case then!

I came up with this EDID override idea because RazorWing had written about his problems with an Onkyo receiver - so this is probably not helping you

But maybe that's really "just" a problem with Catalyst 10.12. Anyway, hope this won't stick for long, I'm thinking about buying a new 6000er series card as well.

Hello Michael,

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I can confirm uninstalling the ATI HDMI Audio driver and installing the Realtek ATI HDMI Audio driver was successful in displaying the uncompressed HD audio option.

Please let me know if you require any further details or testing.

Regards,

Andrew

I installed the Realtek without uninstalling ATI first and didn't have any luck. Will try this path.
