Hi guys,
Please help me.. Been doing a vid for my mums 50th. Was on the home strech. Last night I produced it as an .AVI just to see how its going. (still got some editing to do).
To cut the story short...

Now when I open the .pds project. All the individual videos/photos/music is missing from the timeline below and only contains the .AVI that was produced last night!!!

I can no longer edit the move anymore as everything has gone and has been replaced by the .AVI created last night.

Is there anyway to get it all back?!?!

Please, please if someone can help I'd greatly appriciate it.

I feel like crying atm.

When you re-open the pds file are you seeing an option to "also import files to the library" ? If so, choose that. I personally create save points while editing a video so I can fall back to them if need be. You may also want to look in cyberlink files for pds files.
Cheers!

Power Director by default, unless you have changed it in your preferences, will automatically save your project every ten minutes into the "Autosave" folder. Aften times you can open one of these files to get you back to a better state. Here is the location of where the folder is on my PC, yours should be similar.

C:\Users\YourPCName\AppData\Roaming\CyberLink\PowerDirector\9.0\AutoSave

Good Luck!

yeah, happened to me.. but as drastic as yours. Basically I once lost 4 hours of work.

for some reason, after a long project that takes a long time, it will suddenly get corrupted and lose everything. I learned my lesson and now try to do moves in parts and then put them all together to render.

basically you have to go to your AutoSave folder and keep clicking on the latest saved versions until you find one that isn't corrupted. That's what solved my issue. I had to redo 4 hours of work, but at least the rest of it was there.
