I have burned quite a few Blu-Ray discs so far with Power Director 9 and they all have worked for me. Have you tried the discs in any other stand-a-lone player to see if it works? Is this the only disc you have burned so far? Have you tried burning any others? Does it play on your PC's Blu-Ray player? As a test have you tried burning a DVD to see if it plays in the BD-P1600.

I haven't heard of this problem as of yet since we started beta testing the product this Summer.

I am not exactly sure what the next step should be....

I may be able to help. Can you provide info on type of BD disk being burned to ? Please find out the firmware version on your BD-P1600 player. You can find it in the setup section of the BD player's menu. How old is the player ? Win 10, i7

Just a word of caution....and I am certainly not an expert...but I was reading user reviews on this BD-P1600 player, and many complained that after the firmware was updated that the player locked up and was non functional. That sounds kind of interesting. Just thought I would throw that in...

The blogs are full of the upgrade issue. And I'm one of the suckers who fell for the "upgrade" downgrade with Samsung's firmware. They fail to warn you that some features may change after the upgrade, which is why I prefer to call it a "downgrade". I had to get a local consumer advocate involved in order to have Samsung fix my player. A sad story. Win 10, i7

Hi. thanks for the instant response, my mind is still spinning. I first burned a 2 gig movie on a TDK BD-RE, 25GB and then burned the same movie on a panasonic BD-RE 50 GB.non of them played,. also ,I Burned a DVD of the same movie and it worked. The samsung Player is nine months old. I bought a Blu- Ray film, allready on the disk,and it worked fine. Both of those Blu-ray movies played on my PC.(Power DVD 9). Firmware version I have to check? Back latter

Having asked a similar question a couple of weeks ago, I found that the sticking point was the menu.
A disc without a menu worked fine.

I was advised then to update the firmware in my Samsung player, and that seems to have solved the problem.

I found that despite instructions to the contrary, the only way I was able to upgrade the firmware was to connect the player to my network via a (long) network cable. The CD rom method did not work.
