This is what I heard from Cyberlink support.

I would like to inform you that I have already escalated this case to the product and development department.

I need to hear something soon. Need to finish this stuff for a job.

Do this, and you'll be happier.
Download HDVSplit, run as administrator.
It will split by timecode, and works in 7.
The only sure ways I ever used for HDV capture are Windows Movie Maker, and HDVSplit.
So, re-capture your footage, and then please tell us what happened.

Thanks Barry, Baryddth and a laugh

Note: I asked Barry to look over this thread and I know of the problems Barry faced trying to get PD7/8 to capture from his HV30 and was never successful. The work around link information he has provided is one that has been approved prior to posting.

Both seem to load, play, split, and produce fine in my PD9 setup.

There is a missing codec, or something wrong with his setup. HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)

I absolutely think it is a codec issue with PDR. I can play the file in Windows Media Player, VLC, etc.

I would send the file to test but it is 10 gb. Unless someone would be willing to download it overnight and test then delete it.

hello, all

i've also downloaded Baryddth's .M2T files. edited and viewed in pd v9 2330 without any problems in my setup - wxp 32b sp3 w corsair 4gb & nVidia 9800 gt 500 mb v260.99 video card. VLC v1.1.0 will play either files but my windows media player 11 will not.
i have FFDshow 2010-11-15 installed and media player classic - home cinema v 1.4.2576.0 will play both files before or after...

good luck citays.
