Can't burn to DVD - Error CS000944875

Can anyone tell me why I am getting error code "CS000944875" when I am trying to burn to DVD with PowerDirector 9? I've tried restarting, tried buring with no other programs open, and tried various brands of recordable DVDs. Please help!

Thanks, I ask you to upload a screenshot of the error, "CS000944875" initial code error you write in the post subject was unusual. Does the error code eEB020BE4 always appears at 99% of the burning progress? Ref. errorcode.png

Please press the “Save All Information” button in the dxdiag window. That will create the required dxdiag.txt file that is what you need to attach. Ref. directx.png

In the mid time just for test, try burning with all other programs closed, stop not required system service processes and close all not required tasks in the Task manager. In PD preference, uncheck hardware acceleration and auto save. Also try to burn to folder instead of burning direct to the media

I've tried burning with all other programs closed but still got the same error.

The error code eEB020BE4 always appears at 99%, but when I take the disc out, nothing has been burned on to it.

You may want to take a look to PD9 64 bits requirements (http://www.cyberlink.com/products/powerdirector/requirements_en_US.html)

- Since you are using Win7 64bits, you may need to increase your memory to 6GB
- You Video card don’t help you much and can be slow rendering
- You can't take out the disc out until PD finish (100%) his burning process and the burning window close.

Your CPU it’s ok, but your memory is low and video card slow. Are you taking out the disc out at 99%, because it takes too long to burn…? Maybe to be more patient can finish your disc. Then try to add more memory to your notebook. I have empty my ideas and maybe the weekend can fill my memory and others members new advices.

No, I don't take the disc out until I've already received the error.

Do you know if there's a way to get a refund for this software if it's not going to work properly with my computer? I purchased the software last week in order to get some DVDs ready for Christmas, but now I'm running out of time and I'd rather spend the money on a different software program that will work properly with my computer if there's no way to get this working.

They are going to tell you that you should read the program requirements’ first before buy, I think that’s obvious. It’s simpler if you upgrade you computer memory to 6 or 8GB and update you system drivers. That may help you and you are not going to lose your entire labor on PD.

By the other hand, maybe you system can work with your specifications, but I don’t see where else I can help, except that: ...you can try to BURN TO FOLDER instead of burning directly to DVD. Burning to folder is safer and requires lest system power. In burn to folder, PD only needs to concentrate in rendering, compressing video, creating folder and files. Burning direct to DVD, PD does all that and also needs to control de burning data sequence and more hardware is involved.

The burn to folder will create the basic DVD movie structure folder in your hard drive (AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVD-Video ). Then you can use another to finally burn the movie folder data to DVD (examples: Cyberlink Power2Go or ImgBurn that is free)

Try burning to a folder, THEN put that folder to disc.
It is much more reliable.

Hi, i got the same problem, but i find out what the problem was in my case, the movie was to long, >60min.
and in the Disc Preferences menu it was selected by default HQ-Best Quality, i changed this to "Smart fit"

Wow! Thank you Tom Roger! You info was right on the money in diagnosing my problem! I was getting Error Code eEB020BE4; I toasted 3 DVDs trying different things. Then I found this posting, tried it and was very successful! Many many thanks!
