If anyone is having problems with running Avatar Blu-ray Extended version, 3 disc set, using PowerDVD 10 Ultra Mark II then the information sent to me from Tech Support may be of interest:

"Thank you for contacting CyberLink Technical Support.

I understand that you are facing an issue in playing Avatar Blu-ray disc in PowerDVD 10 Ultra software.

Regarding your concern, I would like to inform you that Fox company renewed the online content which results in Avatar Blu-ray disc not playable in PowerDVD 10 Ultra software.

Our research and development team are already working in process to fix this issue soon."

When can we expect an update to the software?

Hi,

the issue should have been fixed by FOX - please check again and let us know if it is OK on your side now.

You must have active internet connection!

On my test systems it is OK with Extended edition!

No, still getting broken up sound! The sound drops out every few seconds just on this Blu-ray set. All other Blu-ray's work perfectly over both laptop speakers and HDMI. The vision appears to have instantaneous breaks at exactly the same time as the sound dropping out.

Have attached an audio file of the situation.

Since my PowerDVD 8 is not working for the Avatar extended edition blu-ray, I downloaded PowerDVD10 trial for testing. Wow, it works~ I thought I am going to upgrade it. However, it just work for first 10 minutes sence. I got the same problem after 10 minutes playback, dropping frames... well, I am sure all my hardware drivers are most update. And, no go again for my Avatar movie... I hope you guys really solve your application problems.

My settings: Avatar BD Extended Edition (France),
LG BE08LU20 External BD player,
Window 7 pro 64bit,
nVidia ION 9400 (driver version: 266.5 comecomewong
