Snap To timeline slider or Snap to item on another track

Hi,
I am long time Premiere Elements user, evaluating PowerDirector. I actually like PowerDirector better, but I can't find in PD a couple of features I find useful in Premiere.

In PE, when you move an item on one track, you can easily snap the item to the beginning of an item on another track. Just drag it to the proper place, and it will snap to if you let it. This makes it very easy to align perfectly, if need be. Is that available in PD? How would I do it?

How about snapping an item to the timeline slider - can that be done? If so, how?

Also, is there anyway to type in an item's beginning position rather than having to drag the item? I don't think this ability is in PE.

Thanks a lot for helping this newbie!

Last qiestion, no, unfortunately. That's one I would also like to see.

First question, yes, but I have been using PD9 for a while. I think it works in version 8 also. I usually have to drop the clip near where I want it. Then slowly drag it into position. When it gets close tt the start of another clip it snaps into place. The trick is to drop it without moving it.

Second question also yes, but I have found the the slider often moves on me loosing the place I am trying to drop the clip. __________________________________

Thanks very much for the tips! I am now able to snap to the beginning of another clip. Unfortunately, no matter what I try, I can't get a clip to snap to the timeline slider; the slider always jumps to the clip I want to move. But the first one was the more important anyway. Thanks again!
