PowerDVD Ultra and Xbox HD DVD Update

I just checked out Xbox.com and apparently there's a firmware patch available for their HD DVD player that corrects a number of HD DVD related playback issues. Only problem is that you need an Xbox 360 to apply it and well, I don't have one nor do I want to buy one. The question I have is, does anyone know a way to apply it without a 360, or do we even have to worry about it if we're using PowerDVD Ultra?

I had an issue that I thought was firmware related as well but the 2911 patch for Ultra cleared up all playback issues I had.

I haven't figured out where to even download the firmware update.
